Fall…ing into Our Busiest Season

Ahhh fall. When fall rolls around, we know we have our work cut out for us. Having any scent burning in your house can be heavenly, but there’s just something about fall scents that make people go crazy over a candle. We’re with ya!

Last week turned out to be a pretty crazy moment in the Clean Candle history book. Yesterday we set up at the Hops and Shop Fall Flea at the Foothills Brewery in Winston Salem. It featured over 80 vendors, face painting, a bounce house and games for kids, food trucks, and of course, beer and football. Shoppers were also invited to bring their dogs…it turned out to be a great day for everyone!

To add to all the preparation that goes with a craft show, we were also invited to showcase products in 2 (count them, TWO!) stores opening in the next two weeks! Talk about a chaotic studio. Candles. Everywhere.

Next Wednesday, October 19th, the Two Black Dogs Boutique will be opening in Lexington, NC. From what I saw when I was there last week, it already had a bunch of neat fall decor for your home, paintings, and other fun items. I can’t wait to see what else they will have!

The other store is one you may be familiar with already- the Brown Eyed Suzy. Barbara has had her collection in booths and weekend shows for years, and has recently had the opportunity to open a storefront in downtown Salisbury. You’ll find a beautiful collection of home decor, her handmade jewelry, soaps and scrubs by the Washbucket Soap Company (a fave of ours!), primitive items, and more. She will be opening her shop to the public Saturdays and there is plenty more shopping within easy walking distance- you can make a day of it and get something delicious to eat as well!

My son Grayson has just turned 12 weeks old.  He has such a big personality already, and I’m so grateful for all the blessings and opportunities I’ve been given with this business so I can be home with him to watch him grow. It is going by so fast!
